Cobb County DUI Bail Guide

Cobb County uses a pre-set bail schedule, which means a DUI arrestee can usually bond out of the Adult Detention Center at 1825 County Services Parkway in Marietta without waiting for a hearing, as long as the charge isn't a felony or tied to domestic violence. The schedule runs about $1,500 for alcohol DUI, higher for drug DUI, and roughly $300 each for the add-on charges like weaving or open container. Those amounts stack, so a stop that produces a DUI plus weaving plus open container comes to around $2,100. A felony habitual violator charge carries no preset bond at all and requires a hearing.

The bonding window is cash only. No cards, no personal checks. Bonds up to $2,500 can be posted online through cashbondonline.com for a service fee, which is often the fastest route for an out-of-town family member. Money posted as a full cash bond comes back to whoever put it up, but only after the case is completely finished, which typically takes 12 to 24 months. A bonding company charges 12 to 15% of the bond as a fee that is never refunded. Georgia normally lets a driver post their license as collateral for a misdemeanor bond, but Cobb County excludes DUI from that option.

Nobody gets released drunk.
