Which lot holds a car after a Cherokee County DUI depends entirely on the arresting agency. Canton Police tows go to Ingram Towing and Impound Services at 2025 Bascomb Carmel Road in Woodstock, so even a Canton arrest means driving to Woodstock to get the car. Sheriff's Office arrests and anything in the unincorporated county run off a rotation list, often landing at Mauldin Towing's south lot at 105 Neese Farm Drive in Woodstock, but the only way to be sure is to check the tow log with the Sheriff's Office.

Ingram's release office runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Storage fees accrue every 24 hours regardless, so a Friday-night arrest means the car is unreachable until Monday with at least three days of storage already on the bill.

Getting the car released is a strict-liability paperwork exercise built to protect the tow operator, not to make things easy. Payment is cash or certified check. Personal checks are refused, and card acceptance is inconsistent, so plan on cash even though the defendant's own cards are probably sealed in jail property.

There's also the "tow only" trap. If the impounded car has an expired tag, no valid insurance, or a safety defect, it can't be driven off the lot at all. The owner pays the impound bill and then hires a second tow truck to move the car to a home or a shop, which doubles the transport cost.
